When using "Amcrest Surveillance Pro" application in Live View, if I click on the microphone icon to activate "Audio Talk", I get this message "Failed to open audio talk. The audio from the local-end to the device is disabled!". Not sure how to resolve this setting issue.
Thanks.

Hello psgibson ,
Is this issue only while enabling talk? Are you able to enable the speaker and hear from the camera? For the talk to work, the computer should have a microphone.

I also get the same message using Amcrest Surveillance Pro software audio talk. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 7352 laptop with internal Realtek High Definition Audio Microphone. The speaker is working fine. Were you able to resolve the issue?

Re: IP2m-841 "Failed to open audio talk"
I am having this issue as well. Someone suggested to add the camera device itself rather than the NVR, however, this did not work. I have a headset that I use with no problem with other software. I am able to hear the device but i am NOT able to speak. Clicking the microphone gives the same error as others.
Any direction is appreciated.

Re: IP2m-841 "Failed to open audio talk"
Just figured it out I think. On the phone app, i needed to open both audio and mic for 2-way conversation. However, on the PC software I only need to enable the mic. I was able to hear the opposite side and speak as well when I just enabled the mic as shown in my screenshot. Not sure if this works or is the answer but it worked for me.

Re: IP2m-841 "Failed to open audio talk"
I believe this problem is due to the type of camera it is set up as in BI. I was unable to use 2-way audio on the Amcrest ViewPro app when the Make and Model camera settings in BI were the default, generic (I think ONVIF) camera.
I fixed this by going to Camera Settings > Video > Configure... > and changing the Make and Model dropdown menus to the correct options (Amcrest, [Your camera model]).
