IP Config Tool can't log into cameras

Hello all,

From the IP Config utility, I can see my cameras, when I select 1 and then select Login, connection always fails.

The only way to config the camera is to select the IE icon on the far left, when that window opens, then I have to download the plugin, then launch the app from the Chrome Plugin page, then enter the IP address in the URL then log in. What a pain in the arse

What am I missing here?

Now, is there a way to rename a camera or give it a friendly name in the IP Config utility? Having to deal with IP addresses or SN is just plain dumb

Well, talked to support today and yes, that is how the IP Config app works and they suggested using Amcrest Surveillance Pro in conjunction with IP Config
