Internal ip addresses
Internal ip addresses
Both my IPM2 841 PRO cameras have both their IP's listed as wired in my router. I can't delete one of the addresses on either camera, without deleting the other IP address. One of the IP addresses on both cameras (I'm guessing the wireless IP address) is constantly disconnecting and reloading. How can I get only 1 IP address (wired) from each camera to show up in my network?
Re: Internal ip addresses
If you are using hardwired and use static address, just ignore the wireless IP. As far as I know, you can't disable wifi. Make sure you set wired to default.
Re: Internal ip addresses
Thanks for the response. I just don't like that the other IP addresses are constantly reconnecting.
Re: Internal ip addresses
I hear you but these are cheap cameras relatively speaking.
Re: Internal ip addresses
It would be good to be able to disable WiFi. In my experience it just doesn't work reliably. My camera is fine on ethernet and just now and again it also grabs an IP as a wireless device. Like most p.i.t.a's best just ignored I suppose.

Re: Internal ip addresses
Something hit me, did you clear out the SSID and passkey? It shouldn't be able to connect to a wifi network without that.
Re: Internal ip addresses
Ha!!! Went to look at settings for WiFi with the intention of trying that suggestions and there staring me in the face is a check box "Enable Wi-Fi". Unticked it - gone.
