Trying to view FTP or NAS playback from my IP2M-841B. I have to use the Chrome View app because I have another manufacturer's version of Surveillance Pro and don't want to run the chance of screwing it up by installing Amcrest's version on my win7. And the problems with the browser versions are well documented. Using the Chrome View app works great with the following exceptions:
1) When trying to view Playback, the only data source that is available in the drop down list is SD Card. I don't have a card installed. I am sure that the ftp and NAS setups are correct because the I can see that the files are being created and I can view the MP4's independently using an anonymous connection to storage server (WD MyCloud NAS). Anyone having this problem?
Minor annoyances:
2) Any way of config'ng snapshots to be JPG, instead of the muchh larger BMP's?
3) Any way of having the Chrome View App remeber the URL and, for bonus points, username/password?
FTP/NAS Playback in Chrome View App
Re: FTP/NAS Playback in Chrome View App
Is this when you are away from your LAN? I just use my media player (VLC for video and IRFANVIEW for the snapshots) to run through recordings occasionally My snapshots are JPG's and I've just gone through the settings and don't see a way to choose anything else, not that I want to. My camera records directly to my NAS.

Re: FTP/NAS Playback in Chrome View App
Same as me then, I have a WD MyCloudMirror to which I record both snapshots and video. As I said the snapshots are jpegs and to check what has been happening I just use Windows Explorer to navigate to todays folder then in each hour I look through the snapshots. If there's something of interest I checkout the video. IRFANVIEW is so quick that I can play through 20 or 30 snapshots in a couple of seconds almost like a video.
The only thing that's missing for me now is the ability to limit the amount of space in the share so I can force the camera to start overwriting. I don't want to keep more than a couple of weeks worth of data.
