Hi all,
I currently have five Foscam FI9821 cameras, 2 of which are failing, and more certainly to follow. So I'm exploring replacement options and as part of the process, I've purchased a ProdHD IP2M-841. Here are some questions I've come up with so far about moving from Foscam to Amcrest...
1) With the Foscam cameras I can view up to 9 cams in a single browser window. From what I've seen of Amcrest's browser extension for Chrome, it only supports one cam per window. Is there a browser (or Windows desktop PC) alternative which will show multiple cameras in the same window?
2) If yes to 1), is it possible to see Foscam and Amcrest cameras in the same desktop app window?
3) I have a Buffalo NAS device and use the Buffalo Surveillance recording software which came with it. I have it configured for my Foscam cameras, but Amcrest isn't even listed as manufacturer in its interface. I might be able to configure a Generic camera, but thus far have not succeeded. Does anyone have info on how the Buffalo Surveillance software might be configured to work with Amcrest cameras?
4) Especially if no to 4) what recording software might you recommend for local recording solutions (I do not want to record to the cloud)?
Thanks!
