comstring_npapitps error when starting DVR Web Access

I'm using Chrome and IE, and get an error/popup every time I start the DVR Web Access Application that goes with my Amcrest cameras and DVR.

The exact error is "Please install the plugins first! comstring_npapitps", when I attempt to login to my cameras... in my case https://192.168.1.99.

I've downloaded the application it wants me to install... webplugin.exe, but once installed, it never helps. I've restarted the browsers, restarted the computer, to no avail. I can't even find anything in the Amcrest forums nor Google when searching for "comstring_npapitps"... wtf? Nobody has run into this before? I find that hard to believe.

Please help.

Please try uninstalling and reinstalling the plugins. Also try using Firefox and see if it works.
