Setting up a new AMCREST NVR. I have it setup on my network, and I've searched for and found my ONVIF camera. It shows with a little green light in the camera panel, which I believe means I'm connected. But it doesn't show the video image on the screen at all.
I can see a Live View if I go directly to the IP address on my computer, so I know that the camera itself is working, but nothing on the NVR at all. Any ideas?
Camera connect, but doesn't show on screen at all. Suggestions?

After adding the camera, did you click the pencil icon left of the little green light to set ONVIF and password?

Yes, I did do that. I have tried changing it to the wrong password as well just to see what it would do and it display a message about login timing out.jack7 wrote:After adding the camera, did you click the pencil icon left of the little green light to set ONVIF and password?
If I go back and put in the right password this error message disappears, but I back to just a blank screen. This would at least seem to indicate to me that the NVR is communicating with the camera, but no picture displayed.
Again, for the record, I DO see a live picture when logging into the camera directly via my web browser, so the camera is functioning.

You could try deleting the camera and doing a Manual Add. Also, try a NVR Restart to see if that helps, or try the NVR Web UI which you can go to by putting the NVR IP address in IE browser.

SOLVED!
After looking through all the settings on the camera I noticed that it was recording at a super high resolution... well over 1080. I changed that setting to 1080p at 30fps and that did it. Now I'm seeing the camera input on the NVR.
