ASH21-W with ViewPro instead of SmartHome app

I just bought an ASH21-W thinking that I would be able to view it alongside my two other IPM-721Bs, but the SmartHome app explicitly denies the 721s stating "Invalid SN". The ViewPro app seems to try to connect to the ASH21-W, but never completes. Is there a way to make this work?

I will have to return the ASH21-W if I cannot view all three cameras on the same interface.

Sadly it is a Smart Home Camera that will work with ONVIF DVR or NVR however you will not want to make any type of Configuration changes over anything other then the Smart Home App.

I would look at the 841 V3 if your looking at keep it in the Amcrest View Pro app or other that are the like..

For local use, add ash21 to View Pro using ash21 IP address.
For remote use, you need to use port forwarding or possibly a VPN.
The instructions for View Pro probably haven't been written yet. Here are new instructions for Amcrest Surveillance Pro. They should be somewhat similar for View Pro.

I'm sure you could view the ash21 but there's no mention of Playback of ash21 SD card files.
You could just try it, ask Support, or wait for details.

What did you use for user name and password? I never set up a user name for the camera
user "admin"? and password the one you used to set up camera?

@ivioo, you need to create a new smart home account using a unique login and password. do not use 'admin' as your smart home login id.

the smart home app version, prior to the current 3.3.2 version, supported ip cameras live view only. i know this because i first installed the smart home app back in dec 2019 and the smart home app automatically added all my ip cameras from my amcrestview account. ip camera functionality was limited only to live view which was totally fine. i have raised a support ticket and also wrote the product testing team to consider bringing back a former feature to allow live view only for ip cameras in future smart home releases.
