Installed all of the s/w on an old XP PC. Worked Fine! Does everything fine.
Installed all of the s/w on a new Acer Aspire Windows 10 PC. No video at all. Can't login.
IP Config broken. "not in same segment" or something. XP doesn't churn up all of this crap!
Same 2.4GHz wifi network. Sensible IP addresses appearing.
Why? Mystified? Why?
Answers greatly appreciated

Hello DKP,
If the camera is set up and working fine on Xp, just get the ip address from the IP config tool and type that into the web browser on the Windows 10 PC, use Internet explorer or Firefox. You should be able to get it working after installing the plugin when prompted.

Re: 1080P PTZ wifi camera not working on Win10
Thanks for trying to help.
Sorry, perhaps I haven't made it clear how broken things are.
The IP Config tool does not work on Windows 10. It does not see the camera. Funnily enough, when the old XP laptop IP Config tool is working, things actually pop up on the IP Config Tool on the W10 machine. But there is just absolutely no way I can get the W10 machine to talk to the camera. Typing in IP addresses. No. Trying to login from Config tool. No. "port address wrong, not in the same segment error". All broken.
I bought this camera on the assumption that it "worked out of the box", reasonably.
I have tried all of the obvious "numpty" fixes like rebooting everything and checking that the allocated IP addresses on the ADSL router look ok. They are good enough for XP, anyway.
I am an IT professional and know vaguely what I am doing.
Is the Amcrest s/w doing something naughty which is being blocked by the W10 firewall, for instance?
At the moment, the PC software is broken and not fit for purpose and I am very disappointed

Hello DKP,
Sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. It could be the firewall which is blocking. Could you please contact our support team?

It does work on Windows 10, I'm using it on three different Windows 10 computers.

Lucky you! What is magically different about your wonderful collection of 3 computers?
Cheers,
