I've got an AD110 and like others the chime isn't working (different problem), but I'm kinda OK with that since it triggers the dog into barking.
I'd rather have the doorbell simply send our phones a notification, which it will. However if I enabled notifications I also get a motion notification all the damned time.
Am I missing something, or is there no way to de-couple the two notification types? I don't want to turn off motion detection as I want to record motion on the sdcard. I just don't need to be told about motion.
There are toggles for Call Notification and Push Notification, but Call doesn't seem to work if Push isn't on, and turning on Push also gets motion.
Possible to only get doorbell notification and not motion?
Re: Possible to only get doorbell notification and not motion?
No such option exists in the SmartHome app.
You should be able to use Android notification settings for the SH app to silence motion alerts but not button push. I just looked at these settings on my phone and see there are now 7 SH notification categories. It's not obvious (and not documented) which one ("zencam", "RingPush", "Push_default_alarm",...) is the motion notification tone so you'll have to experiment. I don't know if iOS has the same settings.
