AD110 was not designed for direct sun exposure

The sensor cover portion of the doorbell has cracked from daily direct sun exposure. The sensor cover was not made from the same doorbell housing plastic material. Has anyone experienced the same issue? Any suggestions on how to fix a cracked sensor cover? Thank you.

If you were in USA I would fix for you if you wanted to send it to me. I have a used one with low hours that I could swap out your guts to the other housing. Just an idea, outside of that there is no replacement parts.

i recall the sensor cover was made from a softer, less rigid plastic material, which was different than the rest of the doorbell hard plastic housing. the rest of the hard plastic housing looks ok, even with daily direct sun exposure. does anyone know if Amcrest now ships the AD110 doorbell with a hard plastic sensor cover? If I get a replacement AD110 doorbell, and it still comes with the softer sensor cover, I'm afraid the sensor cover will crack again from daily direct sun exposure.

Here is picture of what should be a rreplacement for damaged device, if you only got the plastic part was it designed for the human sensors or just flat black plastic part?. Would have to Dremel out old part and epoxy in new.

this is the new black plastic part where the old one had deteriorated and cracked from daily sun exposure. it's unknown if the new part is more UV resistant than previous batches.
