Record to local folder rather than NVM

Hi. The ASP software is too sophisticated for my old age. My goal is to simply create ~1 minute recordings from an Amcrest camera to the video folder within my everyday data drive, triggered by motion detection. Once I have a chance to better digest the UM will I be able to accomplish that as opposed to allocating disk space via an NVM setup? For now, I utilized the System Config to designate this storage location but recordings are not occurring (possibly for other reasons yet to be understood). Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum.

As far as I know, those options control the file location used when you manually start recording video or take a snapshot.

When you installed Amcrest Surveillace Pro did you also install PC-NVR? If so then you'll need to set the options up for PC-NVR from the home screen in ASP.

Personally, I don't use PC-NVR as I turn my computer off overnight. For my Amcrest cameras, I rely on recordings on the MSD cards.

I did not set up PC-NVR. I could not find that I missed any requirements in the software. Grasping at straws, I removed the camera and added it again and it is now recording to the specified folder. Thanks
