I have the same issue as you guys but I am very hesitant to solder next to a lipo. I have a spot welder, which is how these were attached originally. I am going to see what I can do now that I have some replacement batteries and report back.

Thank you!

My doorbell had been going offline periodically, and we finally realized that we hadn't heard it in a while.
A little testing confirmed that it was rebooting on the button press, which felt like a battery issue -- I mean, how else could it close the doorbell circuit without going offline?

Found this thread, ordered the battery from amazon [602025] for $9, arrived the next day. The old battery was swollen, and it's been pretty cold this winter; doorbell was installed in 2021. Removed the battery manager chip from the old battery (easiest to remove with heat -- the welds are to the solder pads, not to the battery manager itself. If you heat the battery manager attachment pads, the old battery will detach), soldered it to the new one, attached the battery heater, reassembled, charged via usb for ~30 minutes, reinstalled.

After plugging in the doorbell to usb to charge, it powered on and resumed recording.
Everything is back in business: doorbell rings again. Great repair project...and only $9.

Thanks to everyone for their posts and pictures and advice!

I wanted to thank you as well! Worked for me even after my terrible soldering (I almost made the contact pad come off when I was trying to get the solder to stick - due to oxidizing the battery contacts). I thought for sure I messed up the board but it worked. I did find the battery was getting quite warm when charging with USB, hopefully that isn't a sign of something I screwed up.

If anyone finds a part replacement without having to solder the old board for the battery please post. I have a feeling if I need to do this again I'll screw it up - hah.
