I'm trying to use the Amcrest cam on the local LAN with software that I use with my Foscam cameras. No luck so far.
IP Cam Remote app for Android - tried all settings to no avail.
QNAP Surveillance software - tried as ONVIF and no luck (yes, it's enabled).
Anyone got these to work with non-Amcrest software?
Access Amcrest camera from non-Amcrest software?
Re: Access Amcrest camera from non-Amcrest software?
I just tried with IP Cam Viewer and had no problems connecting to mine.

That'll work. It didn't occur to me to just find a different program that would handle both the Amherst and Foscam. Thanks.

I'm not able to use the IP Cam Remote app to access my Amcrest IPM-721B. I've selected H.264 as the camera type, entered the WiFi IP address and tried ports 80, 443, 554, 37777, and 37778 without any luck. Am I stuck using the Amcrest app?

Hello amcrest110,
Do you use an Iphone or Android? If Android you can try tiny cam monitor app and you need to use rtsp port (554) for that. If you want to access it remotely, you need to set up port forwarding for that port.

Android.
If this was being used over WAN then I understand. But this is all LAN so no port forwarding is necessary.
