OK, so the issue is confirmed. Are they working on fixing it? Or am I just S.O.L?

Re: Couple NVR related questions...
Do you mean disconnect one end of the NVR/router cable from the network port on the back of the NVR and reconnect or transfer it to one of its POE ports? This way the NVR is still connected to the router through the POE port, right?Melvin wrote:A workaround would be to connect the cable from the router to the NVR on one of the POE ports on the NVR. This way all cameras would get an ip directly from the NVR and then you can access the cameras from a PC connected to the same network. Another way is to connect a PC to one of the POE ports directly and then find the cameras with the IP config tool.
When you said "This way all cameras would get an ip directly from the NVR..." you meant the router not the NVR, right?
Is it safe if I connect my PC's ethernet cable directly to one of the NVR's POE port considering it is a powered port?
BTW, thank you so much for sharing these workarounds.

Yes this is exactly what I meant to say!

Yes I meant the router there.
I believe its ok to connect as the PC would only be using the Ethernet part of the cables.

Re: Couple NVR related questions...
Ok, tried the first workaround which is router to PoE port connection. Nada. No 192.168.x.x addresses for the cameras just NVR-assigned addresses (10.1.1.xxx). At this point, I'm not going to try the other workaround which is the direct PC to PoE port connection since that will likely yield the same result.
And with no response from Melvin yet, I will go ahead and get an injector just so I can tap into each of my camera's setting without the hassle of going thru the NVR or its powered ports.
