I went into the problem cameras: Camera--Video--Snapshots.
They were all set up to trigger on "General", including the good cameras.
I changed them to "Event" and did a walk-by. Still no Snapshots.
Went back into the camera. The trigger setting had reverted back to "General". More software bugs ?
No Snapshots
Re: No Snapshots
That area is really for setup.. It isn't anything to do with General or Event.. besides settings that can be changed.. meaning wouldn't want to set the Event snapshot to once ever hour where you could do that just as a health snapshot kind of thing as a way to confirm that the camera was in good working order.. I mean normally the systems come setup for Full time snapshot in the Schedule. Has to be chanaged. I personally remove that and setup for event and alarm only.. Way to save on HDD space.. Plus who really looks at recorded snapshots these days?
Anyway seeing that you didn't say you get a snap shot and don't until later I don't think the timing thing is an issue. I leave my event one setup for 1s..
Only other thing that might help is reflashing the fw. and a factory reset.. Outside of that if it isn't working then might need to make a Ticket with Amcrest.. If there was a way to connect camera to local network. I would maybe do a few other test.. One take one of the bad non working cameras setup on local network and see if the camera will send after you setup for email for the camera. If it does next thing to try.. Maybe change out the camera non working one for a working port.. Like say 4 wasn't working but 6 is. Then I would pust 4 on 6 and see if it is an issue with the NVR? If it is, Then reflash NVR and Rest back to factory and setup again and see if it will send all cameras?
Very strange issue for sure.

Re: No Snapshots
I like the suggestion about swapping cameras. Currently the problem cameras are on NVR channels 1 and 4. So I swapped channels 1 and 2. For some reason when I did this, it changed my camera password back to the default so I had to change it. After I did this I walked by the 2 cameras and the problem is definitely following the camera, not the NVR channel.
This kind of makes sense because the other day when I logged into the cameras with the Management tab I saw that the 2 problem cameras did not have any Snapshots selected. But when I selected them, it still didn't show any Snapshots.
Maybe I need to do a factory reset on the cameras ?

Re: No Snapshots
Well, I finally figured it out. Turns out I was on the right track when I noticed that the 2 problem cameras didn't have any snapshot numbers selected. But I guess I'm blind because I didn't notice that there is also a box you need to check to ENABLE the snapshots. This box was not selected. I Checked the box on both cameras and now they send snapshots again.
Now the question is why did this happen in the first place? I didn't uncheck this box at any time previously.
I suspect the problem might have been caused by the Amcrest View Pro app. About a month ago, just before this issue started happening, my neighbor was having some work done in his side yard, lots of contractors walking around. So I used Amcrest View Pro to disable motion sensing on some of the cameras. I turned it back on later but right about that time I noticed that I was not receiving emails from 2 of the cameras. I logged in to the cameras and found that my sender email address had been mysteriously modified. Instead of showing "[email protected]", the address only showed the "xxxxxx" part; i.e. it truncated the email address. I fixed this and was receiving emails again but that's when I noticed there were no snapshots.
It appears that the Amcrest VIew Pro app modified some of my camera settings. Ever seen this before ?
