If you have ever tried to install an Amcrest turret camera without the optional $35 water proof back box you know you would either have to carve out a cavity in your mounting surface to accommodate the bulk of the connectors, or crush those connectors with the camera ball until the clamshell can be tightened. Some re-thinking of that design might be in order as this method invites failure.
Sealing those connectors from the weather should be accomplished with a copious amount of 100% silicone caulk. I have never seen any of the IP8 models with a protective cap over the vestigial power connector, so that should be flooded with silicone as well.

I think finding the 'Up' end of a ladder would be a pre-requisite in this particular case.
