@jack7
You are correct. My cameras are outdoor turret cameras and do not have the alarm output terminals.
This is confirmed in the camera setup as I do not have a option to configure alarms like your screenshot under Event...

Re: Need Help with Alarms
I think I get it. The NVR is classifying the Audio Exception: Alarm Type --> Intensity Change as a Red Bar Alarm in the Playback Timeline, however it classifies Alarm Type --> Tripwire as a Blue Bar IVS Alarm/Event
Our only options under Encode Type are:
General
Motion
Alarm
We really need IVR added to the record type list. That would solve my issue, then I could record General at say 5fps, then IVR activity at say 15fps.

Have you tried using H.265 encoding instead of H.264?
The primary purpose of H.265 is to save disk space and still have a video image about the same. With H.265, you may be able to reduce your camera bitrate by up to 50% and reduce disk requirements hugely.
All you have to do is change your camera main stream encoding to H.265 and reduce the camera bitrate. Just set fps at 15. Then all your regular, IVS, etc, recordings will be the same.
I suggest you at least try it, if your goal is still to save disk space.

Already using H.265. Thank you for suggestion...

Re: Need Help with Alarms
You might want to look at your Camera Specs for the Recommended Bit Rate for h.265. Normally it is way less and then your only working with 5FPS at that so it could even be less yet then normal at 15fps.. 4096 is what I use on h.264h and much more FPS between 22 to 30. On my h.265 at 22fps I normally have my Bit Rate around 2048 unless the camera states I should have it setup lower..
Be Safe.

Below is the link to the manual for my camera, but I can't find the specs for a recommended bit rate. Any suggestions where I can find?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OHVJ9i ... sp=sharing
In the camera setup, I do get a Reference Bit Rate that is a range. It is based on the the combination of the Resolution + the FPS.
For example if I set my Resolution to 8MP and my FPS to 5 the Reference Bit Rate is 360-4323Kb/S.
If I set my Resolution to 8MP and my FPS to 10 the Reference Bit Rate is 720-7205Kb/S.
Thank you.

Re: Need Help with Alarms
I guess it is within Specs. I mean it don't say much more then what your showing so I guess it is different then some of the ones that maybe don't have a good enough CPU or who knows really. Only detail I can find for the camera is
H.264: 32 Kbps–8192 Kbps, H.264B: 32 Kbps–8192 Kbps, H.265: 1080-8192Kb/S
So I don't know. I thought maybe there would have been better info to suit your needs.
I mean for that matter looking at one of mine it also has in the listing for the cameras setup h.265 of the 1080-8192.. Sorry I mentioned it, Thought it would have little different ability with lower FPS that it wouldn't require the high Bit rates..
I mean if I change mine to 5fps I get told to use 2161 bit, at 2fps 1801. If I run it full 15 it says to fun at 4096..
