Cant say I am overly happy with the 0922 version but not sure going back (if possible) to 0702 would be the path to take or...just wait for the next version if its on the immediate horizon.

I updated to 922 from 702 a few weeks ago. I mainly wanted the ability to toggle push notifications since in 702 the Call Notification switch did not work. In 922, each SmartHome user has the ability to turn off notifications individually via the new Push Notification switch. The original Call Notification switch is also there - which turns out to be a master SmartHome kill switch. It not only turns off all push notifications, but also turns off any local recordings and disables events indicating when the doorbell is pushed. IMO, it should not do that. Only live streaming and motion events still work for other software/NVR's to record.

WDR menu option was again inadvertently left out of 922 (as confirmed by support). If you had it enabled before the firmware update, chances are it is still the same setting in 922. You can confirm current settings via:
<ip>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=getConfig&name=VideoInOptions[0].WideDynamicRange
and change it via:
<ip>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&VideoInOptions[0].WideDynamicRange=<0-100>
Lower values work well for me to improve image, especially when the Sun rises directly into camera view. Higher values definitely mess with color and grain.

922 eliminates the weekly reboot and fixes the Night Vision setting being reset. It adds a thumbnail option for push notifications, but it doesn't work. Motion detection grid layout restored to the same as 702, and I'm not seeing any more or less false alarms.

Bottom line - 922 is a small improvement from 702 with no significant downside that can't be adjusted via the API. If you are running a version post-702 with that dumb 3 zone PIR MD window, 922 is very much a good update.

I just upgraded to 200922 from 702. I am now seeing video with way too much green. I haven't found any way to change the color tone. Any suggestions?

Hi Jim/@hawkeye62 -

You can view your current video settings via:
<ipaddr>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=getConfig&name=VideoInOptions

Make sure the white balance is "auto" and that WDR isn't too high. Here are some relevant day-time settings - all are the default, except for WDR, which I have adjusted via the API since 922 "accidentally" removed the option.

table.VideoInOptions[0].GainAuto=true
table.VideoInOptions[0].GainBlue=28
table.VideoInOptions[0].GainGreen=0
table.VideoInOptions[0].GainRed=24

table.VideoInOptions[0].WhiteBalance=Auto
table.VideoInOptions[0].WideDynamicRange=25

These values can be safely changed via the API, but I have never needed to mess with the gain settings. Something had turned off my white balance and the colors were way off. Don't remember if it was green or purple and due to a firmware update, but using the API to fix it sure saved me from doing a factory reset.

Sadly one of the first people that Bricked the AD110 was from trying to change colors from IP Config or some other Amcrest Tool. Best thing to do is Make a Reset of the Camera while others might have been able to make changes and didn't brick their cameras keep this in mind if you make changes that you might brick your Doorbell camera... I have had both Purple and Green one time I had to do a Reset 2 times in a row as the first one didn't cure the issue..

Thanks for the replies. I bricked an AD110 soon after I received my first one by logging on to the AD110 via IP address. I don't remember what I was trying to change. I guess I will try the reset option first.

I did a hard reset today. Excess green is gone, colors are now normal. Revo: The camera I bricked is now somewhere at Amazon or Amrest. I have a replacement now.

Awesome, Glad to hear that you got a Replacement...

I did a Hard Reset today on my doorbell camera 3rd one since the 922 and this time motion events are coming now and I get Doorbell push alerts again.. Only thing this time I did not have it connected to any of my recorders I will leave it stand alone at the moment...
