Anyone know how to get my doorbell to chime the 2nd chime? Beforehand, i had a resistor in the bell that allowed the current to flow to the doorbell chime long enough to get the "ding" and "dong". Now with the Video doorbell, it cuts it off halfway through. Im using a 16v 30VA doorbell trasformer, so it isnt that.
Any ideas?

Resistor? Or was it a Black Diode? Have you tried to use the Diode with your Camera Doorbell? setup?

After installing the diode, the doorbell started constantly going off without any button pushing. This was highly annoying so i removed the diode. Now the wiring is back to normal as originally installed BUT the doorbell STILL constantly goes off without the button being pressed.... so clearly something happened. Perhaps the capacitors need to be flushed and reset? Is there a way to do that?

Same exact problem here with a Hampton Bay HB-7612-02 (1001 407 776) Electronic Chime.

hi @Bsbal18 and @KarlHungus53, it appears a diode is NOT needed with the ad110 but the included chime kit has to be wired with the doorbell chime to power the doorbell camera.

I initially installed it without the diode, and after about 10 minutes, the door chime kept going off nonstop and the video doorbell was non-functional. I added to diode to see if it made a difference and it did not. I took the diode out and still no difference. I have the video doorbell wired directly to the transformer and took the chime out of the circuit for now.

@KarlHungus53, i think you're supposed to reset the chime to stop the electronic chime from going off. to reset, hold the sync/rest button down for 10 seconds... the unit will beep to confirm recognition of a reset.
