AMCREST (and all other mfgs) need to update their experiences to support non-ActiveX and non-IE

@Amcrest developers/staff/anyone who will listen.

Please update your web portals.
Currently the only way (and you aren't alone - looking at dlink, etc...) to view your content at amcrestview.com (with a PC - windows/linux) is by downloading and installing an ActiveX control and using internet explorer. Both of these are a huge security risk, and in a few short security updates will no longer be supported. With the wide adoption of HTML5 and all the goodness that goes into it (new video codecs etc) there is no reason that a user shouldn't be able to view their feeds from your portal from any HTML5 compliant browser (all of them this as of a few years ago). Please make these updates or a mass majority of us will be forced off of your eco-system due to upcoming security patches.

Thank you,
me

Hi Enamtvedt, we are currently in the process on updating our devices and working on some solutions so users are not limited to the plugins. Unfortunately it will take some time as we are rolling them out for every devices that we have.
