P2P to connect to home camera from work?

Post by brichi »

Am I doing something wrong? I have a NV110 4 camera dvr system, All works great at home right out of the box, installed the Surveillance pro software on my Mac, it picks up the cameras and it all running.

I went into the NVR main menu and made sure P2P is on and connected and it shows the NVR SN and all, On my phone (not on my home network) I can add device, p2p, enter NVR serial and it connects so I know that part is working but now I am at work, adding the device and it says "device not found on p2p server". Not sure why being I can add it from my phone with no issues using p2p.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Hi brichi,

First double check your SN number and try,If you face same problem you can add it by IP domain/ddns method for that you have to do port forwarding.refer below link

thank you, I did try DDNS and have port forwarding all set, it worked with the last NVR and the NVR itself had to be replaced, just got the replacement and now cannot get it to work.

the port forwarding never changed obviously, still the same settings and the new NVR is on the same static I set from the old

I finally got it

I add 37777 to port forwarding and just used DDNS. Not sure why p2p doesn't work from work but DDNS connects fine
