WiFi Password length limit

Hi, all. Just got myself a IP3M-941 and had a helluva time connecting it to my WiFi. Realized it doesn't like long passwords. My WiFi password is 63 characters long. Why is there a limit? I see someone posted this question 1.5 years ago stating a limit of 28 characters and nothing has changed since. I could setup a guest network but would rather not. Any real solution to accepting a long password? Thank you very much!

Yes it does not support 64 characters for wifi password. I believe 28 characters is still the limit.

There is a way to bypass this issue and set the full length password directly on the camera without the app's arbitrary limit.

• First setup a guest or temporary wifi with a short password.
• Connect the camera to the temp wifi using the app.
• Use the app and find the ip address for the camera.
• Connect to the guest/temp wifi with another device.
• Open the following url to see the current settings on your camera:
  http://<camera-ip>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=getConfig&name=WLan
• Open the following url on the other device replacing all the <>'s with your settings:
  http://<camera-ip>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&WLan.eth2.SSID=<your-ssid>&WLan.eth2.Keys[0]=<your-wifi-password>
• Done
