IP3M-941 picture not as sharp as IP2M-841 - all settings identical

I have a couple of issues:

1) I have the IP2M-841 camera - which for some reason appears to have a better lens or sharper picture than the IP3M-941 that I also have. Why is that? Both settings are identical. I even lowered the resolution on the 3M to 1920X1080 to see if that would make the picture better. It didn't. I like the fact that the 941 is faster and better on 5 Ghz wifi, but I'm NOT happy with the trade off in the poorer picture. Thinking of returning all of this stuff - unless someone has a solution for the 941. I will be returning the 841's since they will not stay commented to the network and freeze up all the time;

2) I thought maybe it was a firmware issue on the 941 so I check the firmware on the camera and it's 2.5020.AC00.18.R with a date of 6/29/17. I look on the Amcrest website for the current version and it's listed as 2.420.AC00.18.R, Build Date: 2017-06-29. So I figure Amcrest 'goobered' or didn't corrrectly update its firmware page on the website;

3) SO, HOW DO I GET A BETTER PIC ON THE 941. I have tried all settings on the camera - sharpness, brightness, contrast, etc. No use. I have checked all settings directly thru each camera's IP number to see if that would be better than using the webapp. The 841 has a better picture until I zoom all the way in and then it is more pixilated than the 941, which still has a 'softer' picture but not quite sharp. PLEASE help figure this out.
