Substream Pixelated and Setting Revert After Reboot

Post by locolbd »

Camera Model: IPM-751
Problem: Video Stream settings do not survive a camera reboot. Or resets on its own if the camera has been on for a period of time.

The above problem is causing my sub stream to be pixelated which means I cannot make out anything when looking at the substreams on my phone which is a major problem.

I saw that a new firmware was released in July 2017 and I was exited to upgrade, however I am am still encountering the problem. I reported this to your TECH SUPPORT folks already in April while i spent 30mins on the phone and team viewer with them and they claimed to have reported it to the engineers after not being able to help me. FYI the Release notes for the 07/17 IPM-751 does not load so I have no idea what this so called new firmware brings.

When is this problem going to be fixed?

After this latest upgrade I did the following:
1. Factory Reset the Camera
2. Camera Reboot
3. Added to Camera to my WIFI
4. Viewed the substream on the AMcrest Phone App
5. The sub stream was NOT pixelated.
6. Disabled P2P
7. Camera Reboot
8. Viewed the substream on the AMcrest Phone App
9. The sub stream was NOT pixelated.
10. Under Settings > Network > Connection
a) I changed all the default ports to something else.
11. Camera Reboot
12. Viewed the substream on the AMcrest Phone App
13. THE SUBSRTEAM ON MY PHONE AND COMPUTER BROWSER IS PIXELATED.

Please advise.

when you ask them a question they don't have the answer for, they effectively block you.
