I recently upgraded my four IP2M-841 cameras to the above SW version.
A new and disastrous bug seems to be present, in that ftp files which are older than a few hours are deleted from the ftp site by the camera. Files appear as expected on the ftp site shortly after creation, and then are deleted a few hours later. This is irrespective of the System... Auto Maintain... Auto Delete setting. If either Auto Delete is unchecked, or if it is checked with a long delete period (many days), files older than a few hours are still deleted.
Please note that:
1) This occurs on each of my 4 independent cameras.
2) I have both soft reset ("restore to default settings" menu item) and hard factory reset (hold down button 10 sec) each camera after FW upgrade and rebuilt the settings manually from scratch. Also rebooted multiple times.
3) Prior to this upgrade files written to the same ftp site from the same cameras were fine.
4) I still have one camera with older FW which uses the same ftp site and files from this camera are fine (so it's not an ftp site problem).
I notice that one of the "improvements" in this new version of FW is "Fixed an issue when connecting to FTP" (from your Changelog). I suspect that while fixing whatever it was you broke this.
This new bug makes the cameras unusable for me and I'll have to downgrade unless you can suggest a fix/workaround.

I can confirm this issue on my camera also. This is a HUGE bug IMO. I have my cameras set up to write directly to FTP. Currently my camera only shows videos recorded today and the folder I checked yesterday is gone along with all the previous days. I only put this latest firmware on one of my two cameras to make sure there were no major bugs but it looks like this is a pretty big one. Amcrest, please fix this as soon as possible.

Bump. Anyone from Amcrest have an update on this?

[OP, not Amcrest]
Hello @japhule. I received a response from Amcrest tech support on 29th June that they have reproduced the bug and will "forward this information to our R&D team". No update since then.
I agree that a public response from Amcrest is overdue. This is a showstopping bug for ftp storage users.

Thanks rogwk, I'm glad they've acknowledged this. Hopefully they'll fix this soon.

The most recent firmware V2.520.AC00.18.R 6/29/17 still deletes files. I had to go back to 2.420.AC00.16.R (2016-09-09) in order for it to work properly.
I hope they will fix this soon.

@joseph_armcrest: Agreed that the latest 6/29/17 FW still deletes ftp files.
8 weeks down the line and Amcrest tech support have gone quiet. This is extremely disappointing.
@AMCREST - could you post in this forum please on the status of this serious bug?

Hello all,
We are trying to replicate the issue at our LAB and will come up with a solution asap.

Hello all,
Our testings provided that the latest firmware dated 6/29/17 has fixed the issue. A hard reset would be required after firmware update.

@Melvin
On my camera this issue is NOT fixed using the 6/29/17 release, and I HAVE done a hard reset (and then restored settings from the previous release using the export/import facility).
I note that this fix is not documented in the release notes for the 6/29/17 version. Why is this? Maybe it's a matter of "not reproduced" rather than "fixed".
My question is: was this issue explicitly fixed by the dev team or did it just appear to "go away". If the latter then I'd suggest delving a little deeper. Note that the issue WAS reproduced by Amcrest for the 2017-05-21 release (email to me from Support).
Thanks.
