Why does the build date say 2020-03-14?

I have it installed on my laptop but....its a 4K laptop and I need a magnifying glass to try and read whats on the screen. Any way to re-scale it for 4k monitors? I tried making some DPI changes in the properties of the shortcut but its not changing the size where I can actually read the screen

@peterk2003 - I take it you're referring to the date when this thread started as compared to the build date. I can only agree with what I think you are suggesting, it's not the first time that Amcrest' versioning of firmware and software has caused confusion.

@Fleegle I have a 4K monitor that I normally drive at 2560x1440 because 3840x2160 makes things far too small for me . Try closing ASP and then changing your screen resolution to say 1920x1080 (just for the test). Having done that run ASP again and it will still be full screen but at the amended screen resolution.

Couple things

1. Doesnt care too much for the ASH26W. I cant get the video to open in a window. My AD110 and my IP3M-941's work though

2. Dont try this with a 4K laptop. Unable to read the screen

3. The AD110 shows up as a DVR and not an IPC...that correct?

May give it a go later. I am sure changing the screen res will do the trick but then I have to change it back later when I do the rest of my web surfing and stuff. I thought there was a way to override the DPI etc, just for that application to force to a different scale so its easier to see.

I would imagine that the GUI makes use of Windows OS native functions. Probably gets screen resolution at run time and uses that when implementing the window maximise function. I can't see that developers would want to make things complicated when Windows OS has it's own set of functions to control and manipulate open windows.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Yes it records OK on my system.

You installed it at the same time as ASP I take it and went through the process of allocating space on your HDD.

Have you added PC-NVR in "Devices" and then to the live view in ASP so you see it as a separate device?

It's difficult to know at which point you've gone wrong.

A cautionary note.

I've been struggling to work out why PC-NVR records the whole night through in 1 hour blocks on one of my cameras but not the other when all settings are similar across the two cameras. This is just the two 941's - I don't record to PC-NVR from my 841.

I tried adjusting the settings in ASP (PC-NVR) and it completely wiped out the video event settings in both cameras.

I should have followed my own advice to never use ASP to adjust or change the camera settings. It doesn't end well!!

The best/most reliable way of changing camera settings is via the WebUI.
