Any thoughts as to why my entire screen has Pink and Purple vertical lines. I am just setting up my new system and testing out my cameras and the two cameras I have hooked up work fine. I bought a new HDMI cable today, but I'm wondering if it's poor quality resulting in the pink/purple lines. Thoughts?

What camera devices are you using? Is it one camera or is it the whole screen?

So looking over your question I am not sure we have the full picture? What have you done for testing? How did you setup your system?

So I will try and Answer some of this myself... You set your system up with a normal Dsub and your cameras were working ok. Then after buying a HDMI cable you connected that to your TV or Monitor and now after doing so you now have Pink and Purple lines>? Did you try another HDMI port if you have more then one? Did you try a different cable? Did you turn both TV/Monitor and DVR off with cable connected? Did you go back to the Dsub output/input and the picture was ok?

My guess is there is a bad connection of your HDMI cable. I have had kind of same results for one of my cables. At times I can plug it in again and the problem goes away other times not so much... However works fine next day lol So now only use as backup with sticker on cable as May give bad results so I remember cable not so good lol...
