I am having a problem with my cameras when I get a power outage. When the power returns my cameras are showing time stamps of 2001-01-01. And the motion sensors do not work.
If I log into the web interface of the cameras it will return to normal and have the correct time.
I hate that it does this because if I am away for a couple days the cameras are essentially not working and I have no way to reset.
Any help?
Ip4m1028- will not work after power outage
Re: Ip4m1028- will not work after power outage
Hello and Welcome to the Forum
Sadly it sounds like the Camera has a Dead Clock Battery..
This in most cases are not User Serviceable and will need to be done by a Electronics Specialist. The hardest part for most of the cameras are trying to find the Very Small battery and with that a Repair person if they can't find the right battery will have to install one of same voltage different type..
Not sure why this makes your camera not record however I am going to guess that it has recorded it just needs to be searched on the year it has listed. One of the issues is that at times of the Camera is connected via a NVR, DVR or some other types hardware the camera can set to the time of the connected device and this might be way it shows no recordings because by the time you find the camera it has returned to a current date and as such makes the older date hard to search..

Would this also explain why the push notification don’t work during this time and when I access settings the auto maintain is now checked?
The only seems to happen after a power outage.
Thanks

You should be able to use the camera Web UI on your remote device by using port forwarding or VPN with your camera. I've done it before on a remote phone using port forwarding. I've also used amcrestddns which supplies the current WAN address.Private wrote: ↑Sat Sep 26, 2020 9:07 pm I am having a problem with my cameras when I get a power outage. In your remote browser, enter
<domain name>.amcrestddns.com:<external http port>
In android/ios browser, do not try to install Web UI plug-in if asked. You can still use many of the settings.
