Hi all
Short version: How can I access my cams from firefox linux browser??
I was really surprised of the spec and reviews of 841 cam etc. so I bought 5 of this cams and outdoor cams...
No I try to access from linux firefox the cams and see there seems to be no way to access.
Please tell me that's a joke. I have a lot of other brand of cameras and with no one I have problems.
Of course if you want to access special features you must have a plugging.
Why not use vlc plugging when you have nothing put give a solution please.
I cannot be that I must use windows to view my cams ...
or at least give a link to access the basic stuff of the cam.
So whats the clue? How can I access my cams from firefox linux browser??
Thanks for any help

Firefox pluggin for linux
Re: Firefox pluggin for linux
Hello tkmbe99,
Unfortunately our camera plugins are not compatible with Linux OS. Are you able to access the web interface with the settings? What you can do is to use the command to pull the MJPEG stream of the camera on the browser or use VLC player and use the RTSP stream of the camera. I will be including the commands for both below.
MJPEG stream
http://ip:port/cgi-bin/mjpg/video.cgi?[channel=1]&subtype=1
RTSP stream
rtsp://user:pwd@ip:rtspport/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0

Thanks
Mjpeg stream works.
vlc method I will try later...
Is there no "timeline" to support linux?

Just adding my voice to this post. Ubuntu Linux + Firefox user here. Have 5 of your cameras.
Thanks for the tip about manually pulling down MPEG/RTSP steams, but it would be nice to have proper software compatibility.

Re: Firefox pluggin for linux
You can configure most things in the camera without the plugins. You can't config motion detect or set pan and zoom.
Re: Firefox pluggin for linux
The Chrome browser plugin worked for me on Linux, but it runs as an external application. I had some trouble getting it to connect remotely, but once I had my uPNP settings working and all ports correctly forwarded, it seems to do ok.

Can you expand a little on your post? "External application"?
I'm running Linux Mint 17.2, 18.3 and 19 beta. Haven't had any
luck installing Google Chrome so I'm interested in your "work around'.
I use Win7 when I have to and I WILL NOT use Win10.
