Iphone Notifications
Hi, I have had amcrest cameras for years now and I have not been able to figure this out. I can view the cameras on my phone ( IPhone ) using the app without any issues. I can go back and view past events on the app without any issues. My issue is when I get a notification on my phone of motion or any kind of trigger it notifies me then goes to a screen that says no recording. It doesn't matter which of my 4 cameras triggers either it always goes to the same camera and says no recording. I hit the back button on the top left side of the screen and it goes to the 4 camera split screen and I can go back and see what triggered it if I wanted to. Is there a setting I have to change or is it just a faulty app? Thanks

Re: Iphone Notifications
It won’t let me put a video of it doing it so I took screen shots. Hope this helps!
Re: Iphone Notifications
I experienced that as well when I first set mine up. I have four cameras setup through the Amcrest poe switch and four plugged directly into the NVR. I was getting video on the four from the NVR, but not the four through the switch. When you get a notification and it says no recording available, the notification is probably coming from a camera connected directly to the internet where no video is stored. Set your notifications to come from the nvr connected to the camera and then you will get video and the still shots when clicking the notification.
That's how I fixed mine. I hope this helps.

Re: Iphone Notifications
No that is not the issue--like the OP, I too have gotten the "No recording" message when attempting to acknowledge iOS push notifications from the Amcrest app. Changing the Push Notification setting in the app from "Video" to "Live View" eliminates the "No recording" issue and does bring up video if you acknowledge the iOS notification alert--unfortunately though it opens the live view video feed rather than bringing up the recorded video of the event associated with the notification, so essentially this *fix* does nothing to resolve the issue.
Re: Iphone Notifications
I think what needs to happen for the send from Video area your camera has to be saving the data on the SD card. If not then it will come back as nothing to play. however if you have it saving to the SD card either video and you pick push for video or snap shot and your push is for snap shot and nothing comes back then you would want to make sure your SD card is ok. If you have it going to NVR/DVR or FTP or NAS then pick live view and when you can access the nas or ftp use the history in your app to locate the right times for checking the footage.
Be Safe.
Re: Iphone Notifications
I apologize for the delay in responding I didn't realize that anyone had responded to this thread. I didn't get any email notifications or anything for this.
I changed every setting I could think of for this and still get this error so what I do is when I get the notification I just go to playback and see what caused it to trigger. I am not real fond of the app it only works half the time, they have made some improvements to it but they could do better in my opinion.

Re: Iphone Notifications
I have noticed that I don't get any notifications by email although they are ticked in my forum settings. I do see notifications when I am logged in but there does appear to be something not working properly in the forum
