IP2M-846B-2 Keeps Refocusing/Lens Initializing

I have a couple of IP2M-846B-2 and they both were refocusing their lenses every 3.5 minutes. Not only does this ruin the video (of course this is going to happen in a vital moment of catching an intruder. You know it will.) but it will wear out the camera prematurely. I believe, from searching elsewhere, that this is running the "lens initialization" feature over and over.

I've looked in all the settings and there is a "Lens Init" button but didn't find anything to stop it from doing it automatically. I've already turned auto-focus off and that did not help.

I've updated the firmware, and it fixed the problem. I'm posting this here because I've seen others complaining about the same issue online and hope this helps someone else.
