I have two cameras
IPM4-1028w
firmware: 2.420.AC01.1.R, Build Date: 2017-06-15
webplugin.exe: 3.0.0.3, signed Thursday, February 23, 2017 8:44:33 PM, 1,793,288 bytes
IP-HX2W
firmware: 2.520.AC00.18.R, Build Date: 2017-06-29
webplugin.exe: 3.0.0.3, signed Thursday, November 03, 2016 1:28:14 AM, 1,389,928 bytes
Both plugins are "supposedly" v3.0.0.3, BUT they are incompatible and every time I access a camera using IE and the previous session was not the same camera then I have to download and install the other camera's webplugin.
It is VERY annoying that the HX2 firmware update grabbed an old version of the webplugin.
Another post indicates there are even more incompatibilities (https://amcrest.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... gin#p11894).
It would seem the cameras (or the plugin) are either checking for or providing incompatible version information.
1) Why are there at least three(3) incompatible plugins out there??
2) Is there any way to get my two cameras synchronized with the same webplugin???
Incompatible webplugins
Re: Incompatible webplugins
Just wanted to say I see the same issue, and it is very frustrating. Seems like they just keep attempting to install over the top of each other as the install directory is the same.

I am having the same issue with 2 camera models (IP2M-841E and IP4M-1055E) requiring different versions of the plugin... any solution from Amcrest?

Re: Incompatible webplugins
I have the same problem. The ip2m-841 and ip3m-941 both use the same webplugin for IE. But the newer ip4m-1051 uses a different webplugin and when you install it, it messes up the webplugin for the ip2M & ip3m cameras.
I tried upgrading the latest firmware in the cameras. Doesn't help.
This is bullcarp on Amcrest imo. If this is supposed to make me want to keep buying Amcrest... it's not working.
I'm returning the ip4M-1051 camera.

Re: Incompatible webplugins
This Amcrest link says some incompatible web plugins are required and an option is to use Surveillance Pro.

Re: Incompatible webplugins
I switched to Surveillance Pro when I couldn't get any browser to work with my IP3M camera. SP worked great for a few days, but now all I get is an "Offline (can not find network host)" error and no longer have a live view on SP or my iPhone app...
