h.265 Video download problem.

Is anyone else having a problem downloading h.265 encoded video? Amcrest admitted in a support case with me that it is broken for the IP4M-1028E's and they currently don't seem to have any desire to fix it. Its obviously a bug and I'm trying to see if there is a setting that 'fixes' the bug' and if others are also experiencing this problem especially with other cameras.

The same or similar problem seems to be happening with the IP4M-1026. Whenever I try to download a h265 file I get the following: "The h.265 encoding mode doesn’t support temporary downloading in the MP4 format"

I have the same problem with my 4k and 4mp cameras. This thread seems old but I have updated my firmware. How do I download the files from my SD card other than taking the card out of the cameras?

On my IP4M-1026 using H.265 and motion detect records stored on SD card:
With PC web interface, I can download MP4 motion detect records and play in VLC.
With PC Surveillance Pro, I can only download ASF motion detect records that play in VLC.

MP4 download with H264H works ok with PC web interface and Surveillance Pro.

I'm having problems playing h.265 videos on my Mac (I tried VLC, Quicktime and Mplayer). I first convert the videos from DAV to AVI using the Smart Play utility. All H.264 videos play fine.

I have IP4M-1026 and I also have the same problem. I just cant download any recorded clips encoded using H265. If I try, I get the error that H265 does not allow temporary download. What the heck does it mean by temporary download anyway?

It is May 2019 and they dont have a fix!
