Unfortunately there is no option for that at the moment other than using an online converter program. We are in the process of updating the device firmware that will enable recording videos in MP4 format.

This was over a year ago!

I just bought a IP2M-844E model and I mostly like it. Except for DAV format over FTP.
Which is a problem especially since I am exclusively using Linux. Which doesn't seem to be supported at all...

Are there any updates on that?
When (if at all) are you planning to release firmware that makes it possible to use MP4 format instead??

In the meantime, I found a work-around for Linux.
Amcrest's .dav files can be played using 'ffplay'.

But I still would love to see firmware update that brings MP4 with FTP!
