For some reason the wifi camera is going offline more than average today...problem is it resets the time to 01-01-2000 I can manually sync it with the PC but if I don't check the software it can be wrong for over a day.
Any ideas? Again, not sure why it is going offline but at least it does come back online...I just need the latest date when it comes back online.
IP4M-1026
thanks in advance
Date&time reset to 01-01-2000 after device goes offline
Re: Date&time reset to 01-01-2000 after device goes offline
Bump.... STILL HAPPENING. when will Amcrest address this fault !!
I too have this mysterious date reset issue to 2000-1-1. I noticed it happened after the camera does it’s once a week auto maintain reset. I’ve turned that off for now to see if it holds the correct date as this date issue causes playback issues too.
Amcrest needs to step up and address this issues as it’s happening on a regular basis and that should make it fixable.

Reset also causes my IP4M-1026 to loose a few settings for motion recording so that I must go through the set up pages and carefully reconfigure it. For some reason the camera ignores any configuration file that would be needed to restore everthing. Also, you cannot reset the lost settings through the Andoid app but rather requires my to have my laptop available; a major pain. I've also noticed that after clock resets to 01-01-2000, the clock does not advance daily. The date stays 01-01-2000 until the date is manually set.

I'm still having this reset issue. More frequently now.
Re: Date&time reset to 01-01-2000 after device goes offline
I have used a IP4M-1026 for a year and have never had a problem with with date/time or losing settings. It was wireless for a few months and then wired for better stability. A auto-reboot occurs once a week. I use the previous firmware version date 7-20-17. I don't upgrade firmware unless I have a good reason, so I am not using the latest firmware dated 6/2/2018.
You could analyse your camera log by going to Setup/Information/Log and search the log for a time period. I notice a Set Time event from the Web PC IP usually after every Web Login, for whatever that's worth.
Also, other software, including non-Amcrest, with access to the camera, "could" have a feature to reboot or change the time.

I had gone from months with no time/date reset but lately it's every day or so and at random times. Wired is not an option for me. I have not updated the firmware but will try that next. Thanks for your input.

I did the upgrade. I'm not expecting this to fix it. I still don't understand why saving the camera settings using Amcrest Surveillance Pro does not actually save anything to the camera. Every reboot requires me to login and set up the clock, video detect and other items. This is a real issue for me.

Ah, you say you are using Surveillance Pro to change to import/export settings. You must be clicking the WEB icon there to import/export settings. Try using the browser you normally use with Amcrest web UI directly with an IP address. Import/export should work there.
You have to be careful when using Surveillance Pro WEB icon. It will go to the windows default browser, whatever it is and possibly not the one you expect. I use IE for Amcrest web UI, but chrome is my default browser.
