Suddenly no notifications anymore with Amcrest Smart Home and AD410 on Android.

I use the Amcrest Smart Home app with my AD410 camera on my Android phone since a couple of months.
I enabled notifications for Motion Detection and for Human Detection.
This worked fine for a couple of months.
Now, suddenly, I don't see any notifications anymore. I don't think I changed any settings in the app or on the phone. I checked and both detections are enabled and the zones are the full screen.
When I look at the camera microSD Card in my app I see that the camera detected movement and recorded it. But I don't get any notifications.
I rebooted the camera and phone already. No change.
What can I do to troubleshoot this and hopefully solve this problem. I want my notifications back.

I would double check you have motion alerts enabled. Might be with some alerts that was nothing you wanted to see you turned off the alerts for motion. I have mine turned off for that reason.

Thanks, it is enabled. I checked it before, and just to be 100% sure I just checked it again.

I even tried the typical IT workaround. Disable it, and enable it again. No difference.

I’m experiencing the same issue. Since yesterday, all my notifications have stopped working. I’ve verified all the settings, and nothing has changed. I even tried toggling everything off and on again, but still, nothing works. If you find a solution please post it.

I am experiencing the same issues. I used to get notifications with my AD410 doorbell in my android, and now, suddenly, I dont get any notification, not even when someone rings the bell. Please let us know if you find a solution.

Same issue here. Pixel 6. It may have something to do with the last android update. I remember getting notifications up until around the July patch.

Well mine was working until today. Then about 8pm there was an event I didn't even get a Human alarm until 8 min after the event happened.. Now the camera is dead all together. It seems it didn't like being connected to one of my other 16ch NVRs. I mean it went online when I added it, Then just as soon as I got the ONLINE light I went to look at the camera feed and was just black screen, Waited a couple of minutes to see if it would come back online and it is dead. Even a remove from power and adding back didn't help. So tomorrow if I am up to it I will go pull off the house and see if it needs a reset. Might try a different power supply not sure how connecting it to my other brand NVR would kill the power supply..

Ticket should be made for non working notices so Amcrest can get it over the the R&D for a Solution.

Happened to me too. Although this has happened in the past at numerous times, it didn't seem to last long. I always thought it was some glitch with the app. Like I would go into the settings and disable the notification and re-enabled or something like that and then it would work later. Now it has been out for days. I just went and looked at app notifications and noticed the amcrest smart home app is not showing up under app notifications. S23 ultra.

I think this problem was introduced by a Samsung firmware update. My wife and I both have Galaxy S21 Android phones, which received a series of 3 firmware updates apiece on or around July 3, 2024. About the same time, the "Amcrest Smart Home" app stopped sending all Android notifications.

Inside the app, on the "events" page, I can still see events rolling in, so I know the various cameras are working. But at a system level, Android no longer displays the notification outside of the app, nor plays a sound nor vibrates. Previously I had several Android "notification categories" configured, such as a particular chime for the doorbell being pressed, a softer noise for motion detection, etc. But with the new firmware installed, I no longer receive any Amcrest Smart Home app notifications and I no longer see the notification category configuration for the app's system settings page.

It seems like an incompatibility with the current app running on newer firmware. I hope it can be fixed soon!
