Re: Can the New AI NVRs Analyze Non-AI Video?
Thank you for that answer, and I suspected as much. But just to be clear, with an AI camera and an AI NVR you can have area of detection with ability to turn off the cameras, but not with an AI camera or an AI NVR? Or did I misunderstand you?

Can the New AI NVRs Analyze Non-AI Video?
Hello, If I were to buy an Amcrest AI NVR and pair it with an non-AI Amcrest dome camera, would the NVR be able to do AI analysis on the stream? Going to kit out my mom's house soon and would like her to have the AI feature, but I am thinking that maybe I can use standard 4K cameras to reduce spend....

Can Amcrest Doorbell Work With View Pro?
I see it touted as an Amcrest Smart Home product, but I have a bunch of IP cameras that I access via DDNS using View Pro and would not want to have to use another app to view just the doorbell. And, if it does work with View Pro, do talkback and push notifications work (I would expect a push when th...

Re: Amcrest Doorbell New Home Construction Install
Taking cat wire now as POE doorbell might be in the future of doorbells and might as well have the power wire in good size for now and future and the cat5e or 6a incase POE doorbell does come into play or some other network type device.. Also worse case you could put in another camera and have Cat ...

Any way to maximize IR light output?
Hello, I have 2 IP8M-2493’s that I tilted 90 degrees to get optimal view. Problem is that the IR lights have a tendency to reflect off the exterior of my house and makes the yard look extremely dark and unviewable in contrast; I have been turning the lights off totally as a workaround, as that actua...

Stupid question, but have you set time in your NVR? I think date and time would be under General Settings. I like use NTP and point to nist.gov
