Re: IP8M-2796EB-AI how can i setup an area when motion is detected the white light turns on?
My guess is that is a feature that isn't within that camera. While I don't know all cameras offered by Amcrest I know the normal layout for most devices. So if looking at your cameras event page *Meaning Motion and or IVS if your device has IVS.. Where you make all the adjustments for the events if ...

Re: People are invisible at night
Nighttime performance is considerably worse compared to daytime, although I'm uncertain about the specific type of 10-year-old camera you're referring to. I do own some very old Hikvision OEM cameras that outperform most budget-friendly IP cameras available today. However, to be frank, some of the c...

Re: Anyone setup Orion yet?
@Kooveeon Welcome to the forum, At this time it is free. So not sure you have to worry about a License at this point. I did get it setup and working with a few cameras and recorders. DVRs and NVRs alike. Works well.

Re: DVR won't boot with SATA cable plugged in. AMDV10818
Well it is a 12v power supply and again my guess is that it will be 2amp or better. So the power supply that it is connected to right now should have that info posted on the case. Some of them are on the Plug side so you would need to look with it unplugged. Also color of it writing might be yellowi...

Re: DVR won't boot with SATA cable plugged in. AMDV10818
Hello and Welcome to the forum.. Question are you using the same power for the cameras that you are using for the DVR? This is not good practice and yet there are some that do this.. If you are then something you could try is to unplug the cameras from the dvR power and see if the power supply has e...

Re: People are invisible at night
So I thought I would expand on my answer a little to help others that might end up reading this. For best results the camera in an area without enough lighting should have day/night setup rather then using just the Auto Day that the cameras normally come setup for. Then in the Night time settings th...

Re: NV4108E install
Yes the cameras on the NVRs Switch will start with a 10.1.1.65 normally and go up from there. When connecting a new camera using a POE NVR normally the NVR will give it a new IP and only show a port number on the NVR as the CH number under port. So for instance I change my Switch IP numbers to refle...

Re: NV4108E install
Ok, So I don't use my 4108E much anymore. I would have to pull it out and do some testing to see. I have a POE version of the 956EB from moons ago. I know that when i was using the NVR I had it connected to longer then 40 feet. This is going to make me think the issue is then your camera cable going...

Re: NV4108E install
Sounds like cable issue or could be a distance issue. Seeing few years old is it Normal 4108E or is it an HS?
