Re: AD110 Doorbell works but won't let the app connect
I've never contacted Amcrest Support channels before - what is the best way to get confirmation from Amcrest what the problem is and find out if they are working on it? EDIT "offline" in this instance probably means the SH app is unable to connect to the SH server, not that the WiFi connec...

Re: AD110 Doorbell works but won't let the app connect
I concur there that there is likely a problem with the SmartHome server. My AD110 is also showing offline in the app, and can't access live view, recordings, etc. The camera is streaming RTSP to Home Assistant just fine and is still connected/recording to my NVR - and I'm also receiving doorbell pre...

Re: Doorbell Camera records with motion turned off
henryavo - Have you tried to configure motion detection on the doorbell with any other software other than SmartHome (including an NVR)? Doing so can disable motion sensing on the doorbell entirely, requiring a factory reset or worse, an RMA. But I have not heard of an issue like yours where motion...

Re: Amcrest Doorbell
Regarding my previous post - the situation that was causing the AD110 going berserk with alerts was most likely due to facing the East with the sun casting shadows across the front lawn and it being very windy. My subsequent configuration changes in SmartHome were done later in the day, with the sun...

Re: "Incredible" AD110 Motion Detection Range
Thanks to you both for your very helpful observations and advice! I had the mistaken impression that a PIR sensor was not susceptible to movement from shadows. Further study, along with your comments, set me straight. I will reduce the detection zone as advised, even though I had wanted to include m...

"Incredible" AD110 Motion Detection Range
The specs for the AD110 PIR sensor range maximum is documented at 16 feet, but it often detects vehicles 4x that distance despite blocking out the road and setting a very close range. So while this distance is supposedly far outside the PIR capability, even then, the detection zone area and range sp...

Re: Amcrest Doorbell
Thanks for the welcome. I've been lurking here for a while picking up gems of advice, and active on other forums (Ipcamtalk, Home Assistant) where the AD110 is being discussed. My AD110 went absolutely crazy with motion alerts yesterday (several a minute). Cars passing by that were 65' away? Shadows...

Re: Amcrest Doorbell
So the documentation is pretty bad on this. Is the Red Area where the camera will detect and the rest is excluded? I may have mine backwards. yes, selected zones are in red. i suggest don't go overboard with selection area to minimize false detection. only use the smart home app in setting motion d...
