Can't LiveView in Browser or Mobile After Switching ISP (Fixed)
Hi Guys, I switched ISPs. I also needed to switch the IPs of the Wireless cameras that get their IPs from the router. The POE cameras were OK since they get their IPs from the NVR. To change the IP of the wireless cameras, I needed to do a complete reset and start over (as per recommendation) of Amc...

Re: NV4108E-HS Problems
I used to have a similar problem where I'd lose cameras periodically. Come to find out, the IP addresses would change. I fixed that by using static IPs. Then I switched over to the private network of the NVR (10.1.1.x). I haven't had any drops since.

Re: new to amcrest
I adjust the settings from the cameras (my preference).
The email alerts, however, I only do on the NVR. It's because the cameras are PoE and hide behind the NVR (no direct access to internet).

Re: Anyone know if all wifi cameras use the same antenna "type" (extension)?
I bought a bigger WiFi antenna hoping it would extend the range. It didn't screw on tight like the original antenna. Needless to say, it was worse than the original. It could not pickup anything.

Re: How do you shut down an NV4108-HS?
I keep a monitor in a nearby closet to connect when I need it. I notice setting up motion detection areas is easier in the GUI than on the web interface. When I access the POE cameras web interface, they all show the image of the 1st camera. So I'm not able to configure motion detection in the web i...

Re: How do you share cam video with others?
The easiest way to do this is to enable P2P on the camera.
Have everyone add the P2P camera to the app (IOS/Android) using the serial number.
Eazy Peazy....
No port forwarding needed. No messing around with router configuration.

Re: What are some good storage options for footage?
Why use a NAS for this? Why not a regular Hard Drive? Are you trying to retain weeks/months of footage? I use a 4TB internal Hard Drive. It allows me to record 8 cameras at HD quality for some and Ultra HD for other cameras. It records 24x7. It takes 2 weeks for the footage to rollover. If you only ...

Re: How do you shut down an NV4108-HS?
We have the same model (NV4108E-HS).
I can hear audio when using IE.
I have an indoor camera (IP2M-841B). It records audio fine. I can hear audio during Playback in IE.
