Re: How to config motion detect without IE
It's frustrating, believe me but you can get it to work. First, you have to download an old version of IE. I use 11. You have to clear all the settings. Also, I'm pretty sure the plugin looks at specific IP/urls so it will ask you for each occurrence of a unique IP/url. As I said, it's frustrating b...

Re: DHCP reservation while using POE port on NVR
The NVR is in essence another router. What you're trying to do isn't possible. You can still run a camera through the NVR without connecting it to the NVR directly.

Re: Can't find NVR on the network, and, SMTP issues
First, assign the NVR a static IP outside the DHCP range. There are different ports to pay attention to: TCP, UDP, and HTTP. Leave the TCP and UDP ports alone. I think they are set to 37777 and 37778. Set your HTTP port to something like 1500. Next, in your router you have to set up Port Forwarding ...

Re: IP2M-841 POE Requirement
Actually, for the cable sets in both of our posts, you use the existing AC adapter and the cables (from Amazon) so the power part plugs into the power port where you normally plug the AC adapter. You're basically extending the power from the AC adapter via CAT5. Sorry about the confusion.

Re: 'Offline' Status for Wireless Cameras on NVR System
I'll take a guess as I don't have any experience with Amcrest's NVRs. On other systems, the NVR has its own router. The wired cameras get their IP addreses from the NVR. When you use wifi, you're using your primary router so chances arevthe wired and wireless cameras are on different subnets because...

Check the camera resolution. If set incorrectly, you'll get a blank screen.

Re: IP2M-841 POE Requirement
You need to get a passive POE splitter fir the camera side and use the power jack. You need to make sure you get the right size mini plug fir the power. Here's an example. https://www.amazon.com/OdiySurveil-Passive-Injector-Splitter-Connector/dp/B01464GSE2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1509232975&s...

Re: POE outdoor cam rj45 cable pinouts
You'll need to look in your camera. The diagram is from a Dahua camera. Also, POE uses 2 wires per + and -. Pins 4&5 are + and pins 7&8 are -.
