Re: Alerts in email no images
I reset the NVR back to factory and for the most part that cured my issue. Also because of the NVR and firmware that is installed I have it going to my .info email server as the one that is sending the email and still having it go to my .com as the incoming only because it is easier for me to check ...

Re: PoE cams auto-switching from H.264 to H.265
So if I had to guess what is going on, While you are on 1 device and setup for h.265 then you go back to the other device and it is setup as H.264 that is because you setup in the other for 265. What you can do is have main stream working on H.265 and sub working in h.264 and or the other way around...

Re: Only see partial recording time within app
Sorry you feel this way. I am not sure who told you that they wouldn't help you because your warranty is over. Knowing for a fact that Amcrest is one of the only CCTV companies out there that still supports devices many years into the EOL. While that don't always mean it will be supported with an Up...

Re: File encoding for /cgi-bin/loadfile.cgi
What controls the time is in the cameras WebUI under snapshots. However keep in mind if you happen to change the time from anything over 1 second anytime you try to pull a 1 second image it won't work. In other words. You can pull an image every 30 seconds by a scripts if it was setup for 1 second i...

Why is my NVRs reverting back to DST?
So my clocks were right the first night the time went back. However the day after I found my clocks were off an hour. So I turned off DST and NTP to combat this issue. Now every time my recorder reboots the Time is off and when I log in to look DST is back on? Anyone else having this issue?

Re: Your Amcrest IP Camera is only as Secure as your Recorder
So people I wanted to point out some testing I have been doing with my own recorders. Please note that I don't have a normal network with a common router or common type hub or switch. I use Business class devices and I have taken steps to secure my devices if someone happen to Crack my DVRs password...

Re: firmware
Yes you can have 2 different cameras running on different FW. If you happen to buy a camera that has a NEWER FW then the one that is posted on Amcrest Website it is generally been thought of as NON-Stable. Amcrest cameras and or DVR/NVRs will come with a Built FW that is older then the current one o...

Time Change How annoying
So this AM look at the DVR/NVRs and was like nice they all changed at 2am just like they were setup to. However today with all the settings the same as they were last night now all the cameras and DVR/NVRs have changed to being an hour behind.. So I have turned off DST, NTP and setup time manually s...

Re: unable to connect to NVR using P2P from outside.
RAS Thought I would mention something that may or may not be important. However if you put your DVRs on the Internet it is something you may want to check just to be on the safe side. Something I found out on my Hikvision DVRs. with some newer Firmware loaded. For my device anyway if I do a Search ...

Re: IP2M-841B-V3
On well the PC-NVR is the IP address of your computer that is running Amcrest Surveillance Pro. You will want to remove that device and setup the second camera using the cameras Serial Number or Ip Address. If you use the IP address just keep in mind that you will not have access to that camera from...
