Re: NAS Option versus FTP
I now just need to wait for the 128GB I've allocated to run out so I can see if the files are correctly overwritten.

Re: NAS Option versus FTP
That's great! Adding the " /nfs/ " in the camera NAS destination settings did the trick. I'll now be able to see over the next day or two if it's solved the lost 8-10 seconds problem. p.s. - In fact I don't need to wait to see if it has worked. The postman has just been and the recording s...

Re: NAS Option versus FTP
I have a WD MYCLOUDMIRROR NAS which for every other purpose works perfectly. Neither of my IP2M-841B's will save using the NAS option. They accept the settings but then nothing is ever recorded. I can connect via FTP (using the IP address) but as mentioned above, the first 8-10 seconds of each recor...

Re: Guaranteed - yes but only if you pay again!
Customer support didn't disappear :) they responded promptly *but* wanted me to pay $30 in order to proceed with the RMA procedure. I replied with a complaint saying amongst other things that I would also make my feelings known to Amazon. I did just that and within hours received notification from A...

Add a "Privacy" region makes time/date stand out.
I've been looking at ways to make recordings clearer and one of the improvements I came up with was to add a privacy area that corresponds to the time/date displayed area. Just mentioning it in case it's of help to anyone else.

Why Sensitivity AND Threshold?
Just out of interest, why complicate things by having two interdependant settings? The way I see it, you want maximum sensitivity and then be able to control activations by a single threshold setting to determine at what level an event occurs. Am I looking at this too simplistically? What's the bene...

Re: Guaranteed - yes but only if you pay again!
Resolved by a direct approach to Amazon where I bought the camera.

Guaranteed - yes but only if you pay again!
The camera I bought earlier this year was RMA'd after spending some time with support connected to my system who finally decided it needed to be replaced. The SD slot on the replacement has failed and now I can't record except by ftp'ing to my NAS when I lose the first 5 seconds or so of video. Now ...

Re: Snapshot and Video event triggers.
I'm completely fed up with this camera and am now looking at alternatives. I've been offered an RMA as long as I pay for it ???? Are they guaranteed or not?

Re: Snapshot and Video event triggers.
This appeared to be related to the fact that I had an audible alarm enabled - don't quite understand why but the alarm was sounding far more often than recorded events were triggered and every alarm was taking a snapshot (at least that how it seems). At the moment I am waiting for an RMA advice beca...
