Re: Windows desktop player for IP3M-956
You're right, thanks. It works in Amcrest Surveillance Pro. I was entering my HTTP port in the field for the TCP port. When I fixed that, the 956 can connect. Interestingly, the 841 and 721 worked with the incorrect value.

Windows desktop player for IP3M-956
I have several Amcrest IP cameras. The IP2M-841 and IPM-721 work fine with everything. On Android, the Amcrest View Pro app works great. On my Windows desktop, I can access them directly in Chrome with their IP addresses. I even tried Amcrest Surveillance Pro, and that works too. The IP3M-956 is lim...

Re: Email test fails
I got a fix for the email test fails using gmail, that works for me on my 960h. 1st, I had to enable 2 factor authentication in my google account. 2nd, I had to create an App Password which you can find under SECURITY>"signing in to google" >App Passwords. I went thru the prompts and crea...

When in doubt, Manual Reboot
I know it sounds obvious, but I've owned several Amcrest cameras for 5 years and I still wasted an hour this morning trying to figure out why some of them stopped sending email over the last two days. I also couldn't access any of them in the Amcrest View Pro app on Android. Everything was finally r...

Re: Amcrest View Pro Issues
Going into Setup for each camera and clicking on the Manual Reboot button (System-->Auto Maintain screen) did the trick. That restored access from Amcrest View Pro and also restored sending email.

Re: Amcrest View Pro Issues
Same here. As of this morning, I can't access any of my cameras using Amcrest View Pro on Android 9. Not sure exactly when it stopped but it definitely worked two days ago.

IP2M-841B camera restarts frequently
I have had the IP2M-841B for several years and it works great. But after the last firmware update last year, the camera restarts several times each day, sometimes several times in an hour. I did a hard reset after the firmware update, and I just did it again to be thorough. I even turned off the aut...

Re: setup change by itself (solve)
I'm glad I searched in the forum for this because I thought I was going crazy. I keep setting up the overlay with the date and time and then it just disappears within a day or two. It's a really nice feature, so hopefully this will get fixed soon.

Re: Recording to FTP vs. MicroSD card
Ok, I changed snapshots to record to the microSD card, and that did result in their being emailed more frequently, according to the motion event settings. I also noticed that if I go into the Playback section of the web access, a snapshot is actually taken every second during a motion event. I also ...

Re: Recording to FTP vs. MicroSD card
Thank you, Melvin. I might try a few changes tonight to see if I can ease the bandwidth issue. Here's what I was planning: 1) Save snapshots to the microSD card instead of FTP. They get emailed anyway, so it's not as important to store those on the FTP server. 2) Keep sending video to the FTP server...
