Re: MESH NETWORK AND AMCREST CAMERAS

I have an Orbi and 3 pro hd's on wifi and they work just fine. And I agree with james, they were saying to set the internal IP for your cameras to static (though I'm not sure why that would matter). This is the IP that only your router and other devices inside your house can see, not the IP you use ...

Yeah, authentication in the cgi api is screwed up in the latest. It's responding to basic auth with a digest auth prompt response.

Re: CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?

I was seeing the same responses as you were. Using POSTman to test, along with the lan-based requestor in SmartThings with regular basic auth yielded the digest responses. I was able to emulate the digest auth but it was just as flaky.

CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?

Just updated to the 17r firmware today and did factory reset/setup to get it all back to normal again. NAS seems to be working fine, but now I cannot seem to hit any of the config sdk endpoints anymore. Is anyone else able to? I can still hit my dahua camera fine with the script i'm using, so I know...

It's also possible your camera is crashing. Check your logs and see if you have an Abort event in it. If so, it may be that your SD card is not properly formatted for the camera. There's another thread in here about that problem.

Re: NV4108e video at 4mp lots of motion blur....

Yeah this has to do with the noise reduction. Usually around 35-40 is a decent balance between less noise and too much ghosting, and you can play around with manual exposure levels too if your lighting level is consistant. Just a limitation of camera sensors unless you pay a lot more for the large 1...

Re: Looking for 2.420.AC00.16.R firmware

I can tell they reboot when I see them start doing the bootup pan tilt calibration that results in a horrid grinding noise. To be honest, if they didn't do that I may not even mind as much. If you aren't seeing your cameras randomly rotate and make grinding noises then you aren't seeing the issue; t...

Re: Looking for 2.420.AC00.16.R firmware

For anyone wondering, I noticed that the 16.r firmware is now posted on the website. Unfortunately it didn't fix my issue with NAS or FTP recording causing random reboots; it looks like I may just need to live with the lower video quality but more stable 11.r firmware if I can find it.

I'd love to try the 16.r firmware too, I've got 3 of these on 15 and they're rebooting at least once a day randomly after the upgrade from 11.

Re: Pace 5268ac router and Amcrest IP2M-841 Cam

I'd just add in a few parts that seem to be a little cloudy.. DDNS just maps your external IP to a host name so you don't have to remember an IP and it auto updates if it changes. It should be used in conjunction with port forwarding to make it easy(er) to add your cams externally. It sounds like th...
