Re: IP3M-941/IP2M-841E/IP3M-HX2 Firmware Release
Speaking of IP3M-943 and new/fixed firmwares. Nearly three months ago I contacted Amcrest regarding a security fix they implemented on IPM-721 (in particular, CVE-2017-8229) that also affects IP3M-943. Until this day I did not get an answer and in the last two and a half years no firmware was releas...

Re: Amcrest products and KRACK vulnerability
This was 20 days ago. So, I wonder if the status is the same or at least Amcrest is beta testing firmwares.Melvin wrote:We hope to come up with a fix pretty soon. We will keep you updated on the status.

Re: Amcrest products and KRACK vulnerability
The only thing listed in the release notes is either "various security improvements" or "security improvements", something of this magnitude needs to be specifically called out. I would say anything related to security fixes / bugs / etc. should be fully disclaimed. Months ago, ...

V2.400.AC01.15.R Firmware Changelog
Hi. Possible Melvin can forward my request to Amcrest. I noticed the link to IP3M-943 V2.400.AC01.15.R 07/31/17 changelog is not valid. It says Access Denied. The URL doesn't finish with .txt like it normally does. Even if I change that it doesn't work. I like to read what the new firmware fixes. Th...

Re: Adding live feed to a website
@ctopal For security reasons, I recommend you to create a new user with Live permission only otherwise if you expose your admin account password somebody could hack your camera.

Devil's Ivy vulnerability
Hi.
There is a great article explaining this vulnerability at http://blog.senr.io/blog/devils-ivy-fla ... s-millions
Giving there isn't much information about the software on the cameras, I have to ask the question:
Are Amcrest cameras affected?
Thank you.

Re: IP3M-943B request for more information
Thanks for your reply, Melvin. I asked about 1) because the power adaptor has a house icon in its label which normally means indoor use, while the camera is for outdoor use. I know some Amcrest indoor cameras have lower specs, like "-10°C~+45°C," so if there is no other data available I wi...

Re: Constant Attempt to Connect to Dan Burkett
I read the full thread and I like to know if changing Default Gateway and/or DNS Servers in Network > TCP/IP in the camera to something like 192.168.0.254 (i.e. not the proper one -> 192.168.0.1) would be a workaround to impede outbound Internet traffic. Thank you.

IP3M-943B request for more information
Hi everyone. I hope a kind soul or some representative from Amcrest support could address my questions: 1) Camera's working environment spec says, "-30°C~+50°C" and that's great. Does anybody know what are the operating temperature specs for the power adaptor? 2) Camera came with 2.420.AC0...
