Re: Local storage problems
Excellent, this was a tremendous help. I'll change the syntax of the "Remote Directory" field to include a leading '/' and test it again on the NFS share on the Buffalo NAS. If it still doesn't work, I'll create a newer NFS4 share and test that. If it works, I can still create an NFS share...

Re: IP Camera Web Access
Just a short note about the button display - "com.login" will either be the name of the button control in the software code, or the name of the function it calls within the code. "Login" will be the label for the button control that's displayed when the code is loaded. If "L...

Re: Illegal access
Just to add to these responses - if you have a legitimate firewall protecting your perimeter (not the generic one built-in to your modem or router) then you can permit outbound traffic for your camera while also blocking all inbound traffic. This allows your camera to communicate out to the Internet...

Re: Local storage problems
Thanks for your response. I've had no success. Unfortunately, the cameras' interface doesn't have a "test" option with either a "success" or "fail" result like the email/SMTP setup has. In my opinion, it needs this. I've tested this with a Buffalo NAS (NFS3) and a Windo...

Local storage problems
I have an IP4M-1051 on v. 2.620...3.R, 2019-12-18. I am trying to use a NAS for storage, but this is not working. The network storage does not receive any files for any triggering events. Since there is no place to enter any USER/PASSWORD combination, I have gone so far as to completely remove any a...

Re: too cold
Yes, the operating temperature absolutely needs to be above freezing, usually above 40°. If you have a fixed camera, you need an exterior enclosure like this one from Monoprice: http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=6691 If you have a PT or PTZ, you need something a bit pricier, like this: http://ww...

Re: External Hard Drive
This isn't intended to be the answer, but in my experience Fat32 has been the predominant HD format for external drives on the D/NVR systems I've dealt with. It's always best to test with that whenever having a problem reading a drive.

Re: ATR-22 radio programming help
Incidentally, regarding the programming cables: 1. Many of the USB-Serial cables sold online as "Prolific" cables use a chipset that is a Prolific-knockoff. The Chinese then flash it with an older Prolific firmware that can't be upgraded because it isn't genuine, and tends to be very buggy...

Re: ATR-22 radio programming help
Yep, that is working for me also. The radio had to be on channel 16, and there tends to be some bits "left" in the cable that was solved by unplugging the cable, powering down radio and then back on again, then replugging the USB-SERIAL cable again. I found that on a Chirp forum somewhere ...

Re: Customer Support and Forum Answers
I do not work for Amcrest, and I have problems sometimes just like everyone else. I even have something outstanding that has not been resolved. However, I have installed several Lorex systems myself in the past and I can assure you that their equipment is not any more "state of the art" th...
