this is the new black plastic part where the old one had deteriorated and cracked from daily sun exposure. it's unknown if the new part is more UV resistant than previous batches.

i recall the sensor cover was made from a softer, less rigid plastic material, which was different than the rest of the doorbell hard plastic housing. the rest of the hard plastic housing looks ok, even with daily direct sun exposure. does anyone know if Amcrest now ships the AD110 doorbell with a h...

AD110 was not designed for direct sun exposure
The sensor cover portion of the doorbell has cracked from daily direct sun exposure. The sensor cover was not made from the same doorbell housing plastic material. Has anyone experienced the same issue? Any suggestions on how to fix a cracked sensor cover? Thank you.

@tmodlin , unfortunately it does not appear to be a current option. you can either post a feature request on this forum or submit a ticket requesting to add this feature for the next smart home app release if the feature is something the developers are able to include in future releases.

amcrest smarthome app development team should be able to add 0s in the 'link digital/mechanical chime' drop down' basically to mute the indoor chime while retaining call notification.
