I can confirm. This last firmware was awful. This posts issue plus Basic auth is broken. I'm sort of pissed. My homebrew security system is in shambles. I ran into this today as well after I updated my cameras. My homebrew security system is totally broken.
Please restore the ability to use Basic authentication or this camera and brand are dead to me and I'll take thousands of dollars of business with me.
